Organizing

"Organizing is providing people with the opportunity to become aware of their own capabilities and potential." - Fred Ross, Sr.

Our trade is informed by individuals, groups, and campaigns that have shaped contemporary society through organizing that includes advocacy, activism, and action.

Organizing means intentionally interacting with other individuals and groups, arranging variables, and taking steps to reach a common goal, achieving a just outcome.  Organizing is agency and leadership development, especially for ordinary, disenfranchised, and historically marginalized people.  Organizing is a practice of advancing good ideas and shared values.  Organizing impacts individuals and their communities through campaigns that build the civic good; relate to the passage, amendment, or rejection of law; and directly checks and balances power and authority.  Organizing empowers people to exercise their rights without inhibition to live freely, with dignity, prosperity, and health.  Organizing responds to oppressive systems and challenges such conventions to improve quality of life.

Organizing works.
