Endorse Just Cause

Public endorsement of just cause means standing up for democracy inside and outside of the workplace.  

The implied benefit of work is fair compensation to provide for a home, healthcare, food on the table, retirement, families, utilities and interests.  

These are shared, common, necessary interests of life for all people from childhood through retirement.

The security of all should not be subject to an informal whim.  

Job security provides personal security.  

We depend on the work of each other to have a functioning society.  Whether it is operating powerplants, teaching children, stocking grocery stores, fixing cars, building roads and bridges, healing the sick, cooking food, keeping books, flying airplanes, shipping goods, keeping water and streets clean, or caring for those in need. 

Overt and implicit inhibition of voice in the workplace is dangerous.

Overt and implicit inhibition of voice outside the workplace is dangerous.

Just cause, due process, job security protects the voice of necessary truth, perceived to be welcome or unpleasant.

Just cause encourages best practices.  

Just cause epitomizes integrity.

Free speech, dialogue, and communication are hallmarks of democracy and innovative spaces.  

Endorsement of just cause means you value freedom, and the freedoms of your neighbors, coworkers, and fellow citizens.
