Precedent

Just cause is a fundamental standard with significant international establishment and in contexts of varying geography, culture, and scope of coverage includes common and distinct attributes.  Our enumerated examples of precedent are intended to evidence that just cause is a due process right, a tested standard within democratic societies, defined by scholarship, and of beneficial utility to both workers and responsible employers.  The examples provided are notable highlights, not a complete list.  Their attributes merit examination, in some cases amplification and for others further definition and reform.
